Bells

There are two bands of Bellringers in the Benefice:

The Bells of St. Marys : This is a tune-ringing handbell group that meets to practice every Wednesday at 6:30pm for about an hour in the Village Hall at Gestingthorpe.
If you are interested in finding out more about ringing tunes on handbells please contact our Conductor Wendy Jones on 469049.

The Knights Hospitallers Band : Our Benefice band of Church bell Ringers ring the bells in the towers of Pebmarsh and Gestingthorpe churches for Sunday Services (see Service rota).

The band practice at Pebmarsh from 7:30 to 9pm on Tuesday evenings most weeks,
and also at Gestingthorpe from 7:30 to 9pm on Thursday evenings most weeks.

If you would like to know more about ringing or would like to give it a try please contact
our Tower Captain Pip Darkins on 477444, or the Rector on 463106.

This band of ringers is affiliated to the County Essex Association of Change Ringers

(For the curious - how the local Rota has been derived!)
