The Rector* of this Benefice is Revd. Janet Donaldson.

The Rectory can be found in Great Maplestead, just up the hill from St. Giles’ Church in Church Street.

Revd. Janet studied for 3 years at the East Anglian Ministerial Training Centre, being ordained a Deacon in 1998.

Revd. Janet then served for 4 years as Curate to the parishes of Tolleshunt Knights, Tiptree and Great Braxted near Witham, being ordained Priest in 1999.

She was appointed Rector of this Benefice in November 2002.

Janet is married to Alistair, now retired from the railway industry, and they have four grown-up children and two grandchildren - all now living in the Midlands.

Revd. Janet’s day off is Monday: messages left on the Rectory phone on Mondays will be attended to on Tuesday.
