"The Round Church", as it is known locally, has long been associated with the Knights Hospitallers, the Order of St. John of Jerusalem. Members of the Order process in full robes to an annual service every 1st Saturday in June.

Although there was a priest in Little Maplestead in 1086 the earliest part of the current building dates from 1335, and it was extensively restored in the Victorian era.

This is a very pretty and unusual church, attracting visitors from all around the world.
